If you trade a gun to some one for another gun (FAs filed etc) does this trade count relative to the 4 gun per year sale allowed by MA? Below is a quote from the GOAL website:

HTML:
An individual may "sell no more than four guns" to private individuals in a calendar year. There is no limit to the number of guns that an individual may buy or sell from a dealer.
Their words not mine.

selling or trading to, the MGL knows no difference. Whether or not money is involved, you are still "giving" the gun to someone else, so yes it counts against the sales. there is nowhere on the FA-10 to say how much you paid for it, etc etc because it doesnt matter, they treat them all the same.

You can buy or be "given" all the guns on FA-10s that you want[smile]

Imprecise wording on the GOAL site. The applicable Mass law simply refers to "transfer", which includes selling, giving, trading or any variation. However you do it, it counts.
