Last pig of the season

Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

Was able to get up hunting Dec 26-29 and we were able to drop another pig. 25 yards, shot in the eye running away from one hunter in to the open sights on the .270.

Pigs get out from the preserve from time to time, technically you need permission from the preserve to shoot them even though they are outside the fence. I hiked the perimeter for years and never saw hide nor hair of one. they are awesome, any other pics of that beauty?

ayup, I would love to hike the mountain it is on, there is a fire tower up there, one of the few you can't get to without special permission

If you go to the main gate or call the park super they will let people access the fire tower trail as part of the Appalachian trail club, or just to do it. It's not always a yes, depends on time of year but usually in the spring they let a certain amount of groups to climb. The views are crazy.
