My daughter has an epic idea for a Halloween Costume, and I'm making it into an engineering design/build project... but we need LARGE Boxes.

I've found a number of videos and web pages describing how corrugated cardboard is made, adhesives and joinery, laminating and waterproofing, weight and obstacle (stairs and candy retrieval) considerations, and two weeks until go time. Pictures once the costume is complete will be provided.

I've hit up Costco, and Home Depot, but if anyone is receiving a Fridge or large appliance soon in Metrowest, or Middlesex County, we're (I) am willing to drive from Waltham to get it. Will trade 8-oz. bottles of honey for big boxes in 'like-new' condition.

Thanks,
Tony P.,

We had a freezer go out this morning. I called and they delivered a 17cf upright a couple of hours later. I saved the box if you are still searching.

Do they have to still be in box shape or will ones that are broken down be ok?
And by broken down, I just mean the tape/seams were cut and flattened.

How large?

Im sure I have some medium to large boxes in the garage flattened. I tend to keep bigger ones for targets. Let me know what size is too small and I’ll check

We can get Extra Large moving boxes from Home Depot: (22 in. L x 22 in. W x 21 in. D) - so looking for bigger than that.

Thanks!

I'm supposed to have an upright freezer delivered this Thursday, so if you still need one then, let me know by first thing Thursday morning via PM, and I'll hopefully be able to snag the box for you. Regardless, I can't wait to see the costume you end up making for her!

Sure Does! Please PM me your info.
Ditto, also have a Kamado Joe ... Big Joe box. Double or triple layer sidewalls. Was keeping it around for ... whatever. They are not really boxes per se, the top and bottom doesn't have cardboard. Just the sides.

In Chelmsford if you're in the area.

I've sectioned two boxes together before. You can use spray adhesive and you get a really strong finished product, especially if you just template and scale up a smaller design.
