Dont they usually use KY during the backdoor check? I know it's after you're 50, but MONTHLY? What happens if they actually find out you're carrying concealed?

Well the MA court system notifies FRB and the local PD whenever a LTC/FID holder has "subsequent activity" (court appearance) at the end of each day court is in session. Unsure if arrests also trigger this but suspect that would be true as well.

When you do an eFA-10 (FTF) or via a dealer, it is doing an instant background check thru FRB (NICS is also independently done for dealer transactions).

So MA is way ahead of KY!

Kentucky was one of the first states to make CCW ILLEGAL.

This was sometime in the 1800s when such an act was considered 'cowardly' and thus, was accordingly prohibited.

A lot of the states in the south passed concealed carry bans and other weapons restrictions that were pretty much always intended for selective enforcement.

This is true, but it doesn't mean your license actually gets pulled unless the local COP took action on it. They might be more apt to take action now with the new focus and laws but back before all of the current BS atmosphere in MA, you could have had a court appearance for a prohibiting charge but not had your LTC suspended especially if it was eventually plead down, CWOFed or Dismissed. Therefore having to answer YES on #10 but still NO on #13.
