may be instead of spending billions on research how to best game the system, they need to focus on fostering leaders that would set this country on the right path.

Reps should check their ass, there has been a fork stuck in it since 2008, they are long "done".

The republican party has to stop looking for another Reagan. Reagan was at his time, his place and that cannot be repeated, Reagan is gone, times have changed, people have changed and priorities have changed. If the Republican party is too survive, they cannot be looking at old school conservatism, but have to look at the new school of it. There are path's that may be taken to smaller government, the era of less regulation and a return of liberties once thought gone forever. The path of least resistance to financial gains is always going to be the one sought after by those without conscience or work ethics. Look to the Hispanic population, they have those qualities that which this country was founded, forget those that don't have them, they are too far gone. Republicans have to stop with the social agenda at all costs, close that chapter, never to be spoken of again, folks don't want to be told how to live their personal lives by bible thumpers, move on with a voice of how the individual and his family may be set free from big government restraint, and the stranglehold of regulation to once again seek their own destiny rather than government setting it for them.

You ask me the republicans simply aren't conservative enough, and that's what keeps biting them in the ass.

Their past two presidential candidates were both RINO's.
Well Scott Brown saw what being a RINO will get you...Beaten in the election and out of a freaking job.

Until the Republican party honestly gets back to it's roots and beliefs they will continue to suffer.

This country will NEVER be set on the "right path" until a majority of the people develope and gain a sense of honesty, morality and integrity and subsiquently crush those who don't/won't

People say that the civil war was fought to "abolish slavery"( it really wasn't but I'll play along with the notion) yet we have roughly half the country's population gladly accepting the chains of governmental slavery by being made "wards of the state".

Its time for another civil war.

Improvise, adapt and survive, this needs to be their new guide, all the while focusing around their core of constitutional conservatism. Put any title you want on it, they need to got to the people that have their core values, and tweak what this nation needs to fit those values, not the values to fit the needs. There is 40-50% of this nation that will not want this, they are too busy seeking their next set of free shit, but there are many that will fall within the range of these values, the ones on the fringe will need to be enlightened a tad more.
