No great loss to some of us, as Sportsman's Guide won't ship even a rifle stock or a bore-sighter to those in PRM. However, with the French taking over the company one might expect that they could drop all firearms related items and other non-PC items from their inventory!

Redcats USA to Acquire Sportsman's Guide
The American division of French direct marketing firm Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR), Redcats USA, announced May 5 that in the third quarter it would acquire The Sportsman's Guide - which specializes in sporting goods and outdoor gear - for about $265 million, writes Multichannel Merchant.

Sportsman's Guide sued over proposed sale
Last update: May 16, 2006 – 8:31 PM

A class-action suit has been filed against Internet and catalog marketer Sportsman's Guide and its top executives and directors, alleging that the defendants breached their duty to shareholders in negotiating terms of a proposed sale of the South St. Paul company to French retailer Pinault-Printemps-Redoute for $265 million.

No great loss. I've bought exactly one item from them. A 640 round Spam Can of 7.62x39 Wolf, early this year. Ended up putting it in the business for stock to sell at Gun Shows. Currently, their price on this stuff is high.

This just in, Big sale on white flags. Get them while there hot.

I think that Tom Reilly was their chief negotiator for the sale of the company! [rolleyes]

I only bought military clothing from them at cheap prices. After all, ya never know when you'll need two German winter camo parkas for sniper situations.[smile]
Most of their firearms related stuff like slings, accessories, etc. are overpriced and sometimes falsely advertised, then theres the whole boat load of stuff they won't even send here like M1 Carbine handguards or Enfield butt stocks. Its peices of wood for christs sake![frown]
