King 33 Training is offering our Pistol 1 on June 28th and Pistol 2 on June 29th at our Northwestern Training Range in Connecticut.
Pistol 1
The Pistol 1 course is the next step after an NRA Basic Pistol course or equivalent. Safety is paramount at all phases of training. The fundamentals of good marksmanship are stressed. The course is conducted at one of our live fire ranges with pistols carried in open holsters. Basic gun handling and weapon manipulation are key topics in the course. Skills carry over into the practical or defensive world of pistol shooting. All techniques are taught and then proven with drills. Shooting from different positions is practiced. A culmination exercise will demonstrate the student’s skill level at the end of the class. Prerequisite: basic safety class

Pistol 2
The Pistol 2 course builds upon the core concepts in the Pistol 1 course. Safety is paramount at all phases of training. The course is conducted at one of our live fire ranges with pistols carried in open holsters. Students will shoot faster, from more dynamic positions, under stress, all while maintaining acceptable levels of accuracy. Shooting while moving and using cover positions is part of the instruction. All techniques are taught and then proven with drills. A culmination exercise will demonstrate the student’s skill level at the end of the class.
