Straight out of Enemy at the Gates (or at least your imagination), here’s a WWII-era German K98k sniper rifle that looks like it was almost the one Ed Harris used to try and ruin Jude Law’s day. This “dot” 1944 production features the proper side rail mount and a Hensoldt Wetzlar Diatal 6x42 optic — crystal clear and sharp enough to spot Vasily hiding in a pile of bricks.

It has all the good stuff: Waffenamt stamps, a 1st SS stamp on the stock (which adds both collector intrigue and a touch of historical discomfort), and a bore bright enough to make the Fatherland proud. Smooth action, tight lock-up, and enough cool factor to make your other milsurps jealous.

Here’s your chance to own a piece of history (and cinematic fiction). This 1944 K98k sniper rifle is everything you wish your other milsurps were: mysterious, dangerous, and just the right amount of problematic morally.

German K98k Sniper – “dot” 1944 – Side Rail – Hensoldt 6x42 – Waffenamt & 1st SS Stamp

Up for sale is a beautiful and hard-to-find WWII German K98k sniper rifle, produced in 1944 at the Brünn arsenal (factory code “dot”), chambered in 8mm Mauser. This rifle is configured as a sniper, with an authentic side rail mount, bent bolt, and a Hensoldt Wetzlar Diatal 6x42 scope featuring a clean German post reticle.

The rifle is Waffenamt-marked (WaA63), with late-war German military proofs and matching/sub-matching numbers on various components (bands, trigger guard, bolt shroud, etc.). Bore is solid, action is smooth, and the scope is clear and tight in the mount.

The big twist? The buttstock bears the shield-and-key insignia of the 1st SS Panzer Division (LSSAH). it’s crisp, worn appropriately into the wood, and adds some serious historic flavor. Also has some interesting hash marks on the underside of the wood. Make of those as you will….

Quick Specs:
• “dot” 1944 code = Waffenwerke Brünn (Czech)
• Correct side rail sniper mount, professionally staked
• Hensoldt Wetzlar Diatal 6x42 scope, clear glass
• Eagle/swastika and WaA63 stock stamps
• Matching/sub-matching numbered components (mostly “73”) only thing not matching is the bolt. But all three bolt parts match each other.
• Smooth bolt, tight lock-up, great mechanical condition

This is a legit collector’s piece or reenactor-grade rifle with real battlefield presence. Not a sporter, not a hack-job, and not a parts gun — this is an authentic German wartime receiver with sniper features and sharp Nazi military proofs. Not an import mark on it, just as a bring back would be.

Happy to show more pics or meet FTF (with LTC) in MA for serious buyers. Will also ship to your C&R or FFL if you’re out of state.

(see list below)

Possible trades or items I’m looking for:
• Sig MCX Spear in 7.62 NATO
• SVT-40
• Desert Tech Wolverine in 7.62
• 9mm target pistols (especially CZs)
• M1A Super Match or SOCOM
• Nighthawk 1911 pistols
• Brass lever guns (.357 or .44 preferred)
• Nightforce scopes or ACOG setups
• ATV (Honda 450cc or larger) or side-by-side — light trail use, plowing, or pulling a trailer
• NVG setups
• PTO 6’ brush hog
  • So also open to “common quality” stuff as trades. Looking to tuck away stuff for the kiddos to get when they are older. So not opposed to multiple “common” run of the mill things to add value. Worst I can say is no.

If you’ve got something interesting, pew or non-pew, feel free to shoot me a DM and we’ll see if we can work out a deal.
