Justice Kavanaugh

I'd like to see her testify.....on camera. You don't have to be under oath to be convicted of lying to cops, congress, the senate or the FBI.
I hope she testifies and is then arrested and lead out in cuffs.

I heard anyone testifying on this will be under oath.

Yep, Grassely said that Kavanaugh signed documents that would send him to prison for five years if he is found to be lying. If I remember correctly the accusers are also required to sign those documents. This is the main reason they probably won't testify. They are shaky on the details and now their words have consequences.

...
NES is chock full of people worried about being mugged, burglarized, home invaded - etc. Yet I don't know one single person who has had any of these things happen to them.

I know MULTIPLE men - who's life has been made miserable by women and the court system. A court system that BTW - enforces laws pushed into places by feminists.

So exactly which threat should I pay attention to? The outlier - or the one that I have seen personally up and close - and is now wreaking havoc at the highest levels of government?

I don't think people are really paying attention much to what is going on.

I haven't been mugged, but the others have happened to me. I'm also personally aware of numerous burglaries and home invasions in my community (beyond what is reported in the news). Interestingly, I haven't encountered anyone that has mentioned being mugged.

Not knowing something happened isn't the same as "it didn't happen".

I will agree with you in principle that "b*****s be crazy", but at the same time, they pretty much make life worth living, so there's that. And men aren't all that easy to live with either, so cut the ladies some slack...

This really is becoming weirder and weirder by the second.

All partisan bullshit aside (and yes, I hope and expect he’ll squeak onto the bench), this whole circus has set a new low for the ways in which politics, #metoo, and social media are colliding. Complete with a porn star’s lawyer, a cryptic yearbook inscription, a false gang rape, a woman who can’t fly, and a 4chan prank.

Unbelievable. It would be hilarious if the stakes weren’t so high. Keep your powder dry.

You forgot about all the witnesses that didn't see anything.

The Dems are leading us back to the Salem witch trials. Guilty until proven innocent,............... now that's progress :(

Agree. Dennis Prager mentioned this very same thing on his program the other day, where during the Salem witch trials accused "witches" had to prove they were not witches rather than their accusers prove they were.

The Witch Trials have a special meaning for my family, since we're directly descended from one of the victims. I see almost no difference between this f***ing three ring circus and what happened in 1692.

Me too! Well, wife's family are decedents of the victims. I traced my family two years ago and found out that my ancestors were in Salem at the same time as her ancestors. I thought "How cool is that! They might have known each other, gone to the same church, etc." I looked up my ancestor and found that he testified in court in defense of the Proctors. Kinda weird since my wife and I were born and raised 1400 miles apart but found each other.

Ever notice that all these female "victims" are either Sociology or Psych. majors?

My wife has her Masters in Somatic Psych and her sister has her Ph.D. in Clinical Psych. The vast majority of people in both their programs were pursuing the field because the had their own massive issues they were trying to sort out.

Yep. My own personal experience matches this assessment.

I was a Psych major when I first went to college. Your observation - combined with the fact that I would have had to stay in school to get a Masters and then a Ph.D. to do anything substantial in the field - is why I dumped the major.

Again - exactly why I keep bringing up the feminism angle. Feminists have been yelling about that "all men are guilty!" thing for quite some time. It's nothing more than an entire movement - looking for a witch hunt.

Thats because THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE TO SEE.

And both fields try to impose THEIR "solution seeking" on others.....and get paid to do so. Its all a fvcking sham from the word go.

Often these people have issues to begin with and they take up these fields to figure out deep routed problems from within.

The craziest women I've met have been those enamored by psychology or chosen it as a profession. I'm sure it's not true of all, but it's been my experience.

I'm skeptical of anyone whose life revolves around the actions, feelings, and motivations of other people. They are the quintessential "second handers" who Ms. Rand's Ellsworth Toohey embodied in The Fountainhead.

There is a famous feminist professor at BC who says that all hereto sex is rape. Also she has women’s only classes no mixed classes.

I agree - just because I haven't been exposed up close and personal to the crime issues, doesn't mean they don't happen.

I was only trying to make a point by way of comparison.

I also agree about the men thing - as I knew quite a few men who were utter a-holes towards women back when I was younger. I think the difference is that there isn't a bunch of male molesters out there with a "movement" and a political party to back them up. If there was - a bunch of other *men* would likely tell them to STFU. Which is exactly the point I was making to CowGirlup . It sucks - but if women want to be TRULY equal to men - that means they have to start policing the nutbags in their ranks. Since the women have created the political / social situation where it's now for all practical purposes impossible for men to do so.

Ok.....so now the fact that she told a couple other people her allegations/story 30 plus years later somehow is supposed to bolster her claim against 4 others who she alleges were there including a close female friend who all rejected her allegation against Kavenaugh?

Looks like the crazy train has left the station

Kavanaugh accuser submits four declarations from people she says corroborate her assault allegations

They can't find any better fiction writers than that? That is so transparently contrived it is laughable.

Never heard of MGTOW before this thread, but couldnt help but wonder... Haven't we seen something similar before? [laugh]

Hearsay many years after the fact, yet.

The "tell" in all this, to me, is her inability to remember when it happened. For most people, high school is four years. (For some, five, for me, three. Nevertheless...) Traumatic events have a way of sticking in one's mind, and in the context of high school, in relation to where you were then. I've had a few (teen-standard) traumatic things happen to me then, and even if I couldn't specify an exact date, could say with certainty, "Such-and-such happened the summer before freshman year" or "THAT happened late October or early November when I was a sophomore."

The committee erred badly in handling this. The moment it looked to become a dog-and-pony, a Congressional subpoena should have been issued to Ford to testify, and to Feinstein's office to produce, unredacted, the letter - "shall hereby appear..." "fail ye not..." etc - as information material to the matter at hand. Thus, she either: (a) testifies and provides something of relevance, (b) testifies and provides nothing ("I cannot recall" etc.), (c) perjures herself, or (d) does the Fifth shuck-and-jive. B and D most likely. Bluff would've been called, ample opportunity granted to tell her side, and this "trial by innuendo" nipped.
