I used to tell them to hang on while I got the person they asked for. Then I’d mute the phone, put it on the counter and go back to what I was doing. I have no idea how long any of them stayed on but it felt good to be wasting their time instead of mine.

All the fun stopped when I got an answering machine.

I love when they tell me that they're not Indian, they're Mexican. I've been hearing that one a lot lately.

I always tell them if they work for a call center making unsolicited outbound calls then they're automatically Indian regardless of the Country they were born in.

One time a scammer called me with an Indian accent. I called him a bleeping Indian c…k s….ker and he went straight into a profanity laden tantrum. I busted out laughing and he hung up. It’s best to cut right to point with these turkeys.
