Just picked up a Magnum Research BEIII Desert Eagle

Asked around for a fun all steel full frame .45acp to shoot that was non-1911 series. This is what I got back from multiple people who shoot frequently and/or competitively.

Dry firing the first pull in double action is 12LBs which is a bear but once its single action its 4lbs so really smooth. Can avoid DA though if wanted.

Really just a fun range gun to chew through ammo and occasionally may sit on my nightstand but I have 15 other guns so at this point its looking for different manufactures not MA OK that are not polymer frames. They make the BEIII in polymer but since I prefer the weight to manage the recoil I went with all steel. Will have a better review though once I get it to the range.

Interesting. What 'sold' you on it? How is the trigger?

Haha same here. Ive got some CZ's, Glocks, and Springfield Armory stuff on my list that I should be picking up in the next few months. So many nice guns out there to choose from!

looks cool. For some reason the punk kid in me has a need for the non mass stuff.
