Off of eBay -- this baby's going to the range on the 4th of July. I'm going to invite people to add their "signatures" to it. It'll see "service" at everything from 7 yards out to 200 yards! [smile]

send it to John Bolton to present to Kofi and the gang!!

The thought did cross my mind, but -- could one of our lawyers chime in about what the possible ramifications might be of sending the UN a bullet-riddled replica of their flag? Would they be what common sense would suggest they'd be? Just, uh, curious.....

A swat team swarmed the home of Mr. TeleMark of Leomonster MA after he made violent threats against the UN. Police said they found an arsenal contained within the home.

UN President Kofi Anan was quoted as saying "This is why the UN gun ban must pass imediately".

Remember when Telemark used to make those great posts?

Yeah, that's what I figured -- no lawyer needed for that.[sad2]

There's no point in playing the agressor anyways, even if it is just symbolically. All we have to do is mind our own business and just try to live our lives peacefully and lawfully -- they'll come for us on their own in due time.[thinking]

You ARE going to post what time you'll be there and directions to the club, right?

Let's see... how many guns can I bring to put holes in it with? [smile] [smile]

Well, I'll definitly be at No. Leominster Rod & Gun at some point, probably in the morning. As of tonite, I'm also a member of Lunenberg, so I'll probably bring it over there. I'm also toying with the idea of traveling to nearby clubs with it as well. But, for the most part, I'm going to have folks that want to "sign" the flag come on over to Leominster. Damn, I got a 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 in the vault, it's either gonna be in jeopardy, or I'm going to have to buy some special 4th of July ammo. And, you can bring all the guns you want, as long as one of 'em is your M1A! (nudge, nudge)

Can you believe I actually saw someone flying this flag once! It was in Philipston if I remember right... Why would you fly that flag? They weren't flying anything else. Do they really want to be a citizen of the UN?

While his statist attitude is pretty much a requirement for the job, Kofi may actually be having a brush with reality. In response to the on-going genecide in Dafur, he recently said that he didn't see any way that simply distributing firearms to all the civilians in the area could possibly make things any worse. He'll probably have a mysterious plane crash shortly.

For anyone that's interested in stopping by on the 4th to have a few shots at the flag, I'll be heading down to No. Leominster Rod & Gun Club:

http://users.net1plus.com/nlrg/

on the morning of the 4th, at about 10 AM, and will stay until I'm out of ammo or the flag is destroyed. I'll be starting at the 200 yard rifle range and steadily work in to the pistol ranges, with brief stops at the 50 yard shotgun/slug range.

To keep things sane, if you want to stop by, please PM me to let me know, and I'll PM you back a confirmation and my cell number. As a member, I'm allowed to bring a guest in for a one-time visit, so depending on the response, I may need to let people in a little at a time -- I have no idea how many others will be using the club on the 4th, but it's usually a ghost town, and I'm going to invite them to shoot the thing too!

If there's any other NLRG members that would bring folks in as guests in the even of a big response, please let me know.

Mark
