I have never reloaded but would like to start doing just .45 acp. If you were just starting out reloading just .45's, what would you buy to do it?

500-1000 a month of .45, about 500-1000 22lr. and a couple of 100 rounds of assorted 9mm, 41mag,38,357,38's and 380's. The reason I shoot so much is the Wife likes to go with me, she loves 1911's.

I loaded about 8k .45acp since march on a Lee Pro 1000 It sometimes will give me fits, and I can only load about 300 per hour but it only cost $120 all set up.

its a cheap way to get started

If you can't afford the dillon 650 look at the 550 or the square deal the 550 has a case feeder now and that should speed up reloading quite a bit.
I had a 550 and could load 100 rounds of most pistol in 10 to 15 min with no case feeder.
I have a 650 and I Love it 100 rounds in 6 or 7 min and I'm all thumbs and have carpal tunnel .
My suggestion try e bay or the want advertiser you should find smoe thing there
good luck

Best I can do is 20 minutes. That includes putting the ammo away in a box when I'm done. It does not include filling the primer tubes.

On my 550 I can do about 300-350 an hour stopping every so often to double check my powder drop and OAL. My 650 has yet to be set up but has the Dillon Powder Check so I imagine it'll be alot faster.
