Gunfire kills 1, injures 2 in Montana town
23 hours ago

GLASGOW, Mont. (AP) — Shots were fired near the Glasgow hospital's ambulance barn on Saturday, killing one person and wounding two, and a manhunt was under way for the shooter, police said.

Valley County Sheriff Glenn Meier told the Great Falls Tribune the other two shooting victims were in stable condition. He did not release the names of the victims.

Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital was under a lockdown and a spokesman said it was caring for the gunfire victims.

"We're on a lockdown, with no admittance to the facility permitted at this time," spokesman Nickolas Dirkes said. "An ambulance crew is available offsite and we have initiated our incident command system."

Sports reporter Beth Henville of the Glasgow Courier said Glasgow High School was locked down during basketball games at the school.

"They did allow people to leave after the police were able to come up and secure the area," she said. Glasgow residents were told to "go directly home and lock the doors."

Henville said those who live on the edge of the town in northeastern Montana were stopped at checkpoints.

JPFO ALERT: GOOD GUY SHOOTS BAD GUY.
WE ASSUME SARAH BRADY IN TEARS

Confirmed: There was a shooting incident in Glasgow, Montana on Saturday afternoon. Besides the shooter, one person was killed and two were injured. Police locked down the community, warned people to lock doors and stay inside, and followed a blood trail which eventually led to the deceased shooter.

Unconfirmed but probable: The shooter made his attack at a local hospital and killed a female Emergency Medical Technician. Scott Billingsly was present because his wife works at the hospital.
Scott has a Montana concealed weapon permit, was armed, and engaged the shooter in defense of himself and others. Scott was injured in the hand and Scott's wife was also injured. The shooter was seriously injured and was driven off by Scott's armed engagement of the shooter. The seriously wounded shooter sought shelter, leaving the blood trail that law enforcement followed, where they found the shooter dead of a possibly self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The people of Glasgow who know these details are highly thankful that an armed citizen was present and able to interdict the killer before he could kill more than the one person murdered, possibly saving the lives of many other hospital employees.

Nope, Sarah's not in tears because her lapdogs the MSM censored what happened to suit their own agenda.[thinking]

Wow the AP version of the story is hideous. What an absolute disgrace that this passes for "journalism" in this country. Did I wake up Red China or something?

In about 24hrs we will be in a very close copy of Red China. We will have a "ruler" for the first time in American history. G-d help us all.

What on earth does "unconfirmed but probable" mean? Is it a guess or an assumption? How long will it take to get at least some of those items confirmed?
Seriously. [thinking]

Stuff like this would be great to pass along as an example...but "unconfirmed but probable" just sounds contrived.

from CNN: (They suck too)

CNN) -- A massive manhunt involving "every guy who ever wore a badge" in northeast Montana ended late Saturday after police located the man they say shot and killed a woman and wounded two others.

Authorities in the town of Glasgow said a trail of blood led them to the alleged shooter, who was holed up inside a house.

Glen Meier, the sheriff of Valley County -- where Glasgow is located -- said the man "died of gunshot wounds." Authorities did not clarify if he committed suicide or was killed by officers.

The manhunt begun shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday, following a shooting near the ambulance barn of the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, said Valley County sheriff's spokeswoman Samar Fay.

Immediately afterward, local officials in the town of 3,200 people launched their manhunt, enlisting the help of surrounding jurisdictions, tribal police, the FBI and the border patrol -- "every guy who ever wore a badge in this county," Fay said.

Authorities asked railway officials to halt trains going through the city. They used fire trucks to block roads leading in and out of Glasgow, resulting in long lines of cars and trucks that idled by the side of highways for five hours.

Residents were asked to stay inside, lock their doors and limit cell phone use so they did not to swamp the phone network with calls. A gymnasium where a basketball game was being held was also locked down for a brief period, Fay said.

About 11:30 p.m., tracker dogs followed a blood trail through the south side of town to a house where the suspected shooter was spotted.

Samar would not release the man's name or say how he died. "There will be a big investigation around that," she said.

The two victims who survived the shooting were hospitalized Sunday morning. Authorities said they did not know the motive for the attack.
