Picked up a Glock 19 MOS and am looking at red dots. Trijicon is nice but expensive and will require surpressor sights to cowitness. Also requires the sight to be removed to replace the battery. Vortex Venom battery is replaced from the top but would still require new sights. Looking at the JPoint, would need to be removed to swap the battery but is low enough to allow for factory sight cowitness. Anyone have any experience with it?

I have a Jpoint, buit don't use it much since it's an auxiallary sight on a scoped .308 EBR.

The advantage of the Jpoint is it is very durable and light. The disadvantage is the lens is plastic, not glass like on some of the other brands.

Why not just go to the Shot Show and check them all out in person?

Thank you Rob. I did notice the lens was plastic. How is yours holding up?
Holding up well, however, it's on a .308 that I only shoot occasionally and them 20 rounds or so is goot for a trip to the range, so I do not have much of a statistical sample. I may also be biased since mine was a gift from John Paul.

I've had one on an M&P CORE for 4 years now. Haven't needed to replace the battery yet. Still works well. No shift in zero whatsoever. I have no complaints.

Thank you all for the replies. I was about to order the JPoint when a buddy sent me a link to Cabelas for a gen 1 RMR for $260! Make sure to use coupon code 7tenoff. I couldn't pass it up. Also ordered the mounting kit on Amazon for the Glock MOS the alleviates the battery issues.
