Anyone else watching it live streaming?
    Available here: https://www.c-span.org/video/?42093...jeff-sessions-sworn-confirmation-hearing&live

I can't wait for the Dems to look foolish during their "grilling"

His closing statement was that he would prosecute firearm related offenses and enforce the rule of law and current laws on the books.

Also who brings a kid to a confirmation hearing (look past his right shoulder).

I'm watching it on/off on TV (layed up for a few more weeks with destroyed ankle, really sucks). Those are four of his 10 grand children. His daughter/son-in-law whos kids those are are like fed prosecutors or something....some job, I forget. two are twins, cute kids. The man is proud of his family, nothing wrong with that.

I've got the day off today. He's doing great and I can't see anything wrong with this guy. He's saying he's going to follow the law and apply it equally.

It looked like Sessions took the wind out of Feinstein's sails. She was trying to lock him into a corner.

Outside of the far left who wouldn't approve confirmation of Ghandi or Che Guevara at this point, everyone in the Senate loves the guy. This partisan BS has to stop.

If you are near a computer, the CSPAN feed has a transcript at the bottom. If your on the road, you can watch it later.

The most contentious part will be when Sen. Booker testifies against him.

    Opposed the voting rights act.

Wrongfully prosecuted blacks and civil rights workers in Alabama with regards to voting rights.

Said, "The KKK was OK with me until I found out they smoked marijuana"

Said, "Good people don't smoke marijuana"

Called the NAACP and ACLU "unAmerican" (I'm sure many of you love this)

Numerous corroborating reports of racist statements in his professional life

Believes that the Supreme Court should not be secularly minded

    Anti gay marriage

    Climate change denier

I'm sure most of this, actually, adds up to a great reason to support him for a lot of people.

There are a bunch of ****y things with Sessions but as usual the moonbats **** it up, doing things like shouting "HES A RAYCIST CUZ HE CALLED SOMEONE A N---- 5000 years ago!!!" or some bullshit like that, instead of focusing on things that actually matter - like the fact that he is a raging statist ****stick douchebag when it comes to things like supporting civil asset forfeiture.......

    http://reason.com/blog/2017/01/09/sessions-could-face-sharp-questions-over

HEY STUPID MOONBATS! TRY WHINING ABOUT THIS INSTEAD!

Moonbats: "Oh wait, it's a problem that disproportionately affects people who probably work for a living and have
assets. We can't have that. Those citizens aren't downtrodden enough to care about"

    [sad2] What a ****ing mess.

Some SJW's just created a scene in the back of the room. Did any one do this during Lynch's and Holder's hearing?

Right, we all know you are tightly aligned with Nixon on the drug war. Don't need a reminder.

The climate change thing I'm OK with because it's mostly bullshit that nobody can actually do anything about. But for the most part this guy is an ******* but as usual, the moonbat pols miss the mark on nearly everything, while pretending to be champions of civil rights in the course of pandering to a subset of their voting bloc. So their protest of this guy amounts to fake, manufactured outrage because they can't even get their shit together.

The thing about your comment on Civil Asset forfeiture is that the democrats are absolutely 100% in favor of it. Going after him for that would lead to them having to explain their own positions. They're just as much involved in maintaining funding levels for, and militarization of, the police as the Republitards.

I agree about the liberals not being sincere about civil rights, but you have to expect them to latch on to that in this case. He was already denied a judgeship because of blatant racism. In many cases, sure, they play that angle up...but in this case I think its fairly clear that there is some meat there.

He can believe or deny whatever he wants, but what he actually does is what matters. I don't care if he drops f-bombs and n words or hates gay marriage or denies climate anything - is he upholding the law equally is the only question.

AG is a highly discretionary position. That is especially true right now with regards to marijuana legalization. Maybe you don't believe it should be legal, but do you believe it is something that the federal government should be prioritizing against the will of voters in the various states which have approved changes in their stance on it?

His racism has affected his professional performance. Read up.

Shooting blanks again. Unfortunately that term was applied to almost everyone in the last year. Then, when it did not work, it was replaced with HACKING. Try Russians at this point.

I'm don't use MJ and don't care if anyone else does. It should be up to the states and no one else.

I'll wait till I get a recent example of "racism", but I haven't seen it.

Plus, you have to look at his record as a balance sheet. If there are too many instances of what might be called racist remarks or actions, then I agree that that would be a problem. But, in fact, I think he has a pretty lengthy record of prosecuting those who were violating civil rights, including the civil rights of african americans. But I have not done an exhaustive search. You cannot trust anything MSM says so you have to do your own homework. I agree about the MJ and CAD issues -- he makes me nervous on those issues. But am willing to step back and look at the balance sheet and not just one particular issue.

    Whitehouse is questioning him [rolleyes]

It's refreshing to see Whitehouse look like an ass, not just when I see him at the beach wearing crocks with socks.
