I'm in Shanghai on business. I was swimming one night and woman gets in the "shared fast lane." Got a brief glimpse of her when she was stopped for a rest as a turned. I cringed a little because that was one ugly woman. A couple days later see her again. It was not a she. It was a dude in a woman's swim suit. Later saw him in the men's locker room wearing the towel like a diva. Rock band length hair. Dude thinks she is a lady but still has 3 kegs so men's locker room it is.
Apparently he also identifies as a mermaid. He got in the pool a couple times with 3 foot long fins that require mimicking a mermaid to use them.

Maybe at first glance, but this isn't a "their property, their rules" kind of thing. It's a government forcing laws on people for no reason other than they think they know what's best. Are you ok if the US re-institutes the nationwide so-called "assault weapon ban"? Because the rest of the world will look in and say, "their country, their rules."

That being said, if the govt is paying for the gender transition, I could see people having to follow their rules. However, if this also applies to people who are paying on their own to transition, the govt has no business intervening.

Before reacting to Japan's policy, read the article carefully. The government says you have to have the surgery in order to legally change your "gender" in the government records. In other words, if you want something from the government, an affirmative action, you have to comply with a requirement that demonstrates the justification for your claim.

So this situation is more like proving citizenship and residency to get registered to vote. Of course, Leftists in the FUSA don't believe that should be necessary either.

I think if Japan acknowledged gay marriage, a lot of this would be unnecessary. Other than marriage (Japan doesn't recognize gay marriage), most rights are not tied to gender.

I’m pretty sure no country condemned us over the assault weapon ban. Condemn Japan all you want. I stand by what I said. We need to stay out of other countries business. The story doesn’t make clear who’s paying either.

I actually see a lot of the same people every day at the gym when I am here in Shanghai. But this guy. Even going half way around the world I can't get away from crazy ideas. If you have 3 legs, you are a dude. This guy has longer hair than all of the Chinese women I know. Looks more like the newer lead singer for Journey. :D:rolleyes:

So if you want to "be a woman" you can't have male reproductive ability, and if you want to "be a man" you can't have female reproductive ability.

Looks like transgender folks bet heavy, and Japan called their bluff and raised.

Now I'm no expert here but here goes. In life when you cut an appendage off you no longer can use sed appendage. And when you cap a pipe with a faucet... things can no longer get into the pipe. So isn't the law pointless based on well science?

Thats just.well. Just stupid. Governments DO NOT belong in peoples lives. Doesn't matter who you are or want to be. I don't care what anyone does with their own body with their own free will. Cut off and attach whatever the f*** you want.

so we, in the US, have most TG's claiming the opposite gender but still have their original bits. All Japan is doing is saying that if you are a man and want to 'legally' be recognized as a woman then you need to have some procedures. And I do not have an issue with that. Otherwise you are just playing dress-up....I see no need to change that law. If you are really a woman then you certainly do not need those man pieces.

The Japanese need not worry about transgender.......they are already flocking to sex robots ( probably a wiser decision). Either way, their population will continue to decline......which given their wide spread cubical and jail cell like living conditions is probably not a bad thing in the long run. Either way......no fvcks given here.

So you'd be ok with unlicensed tattoo artists. No one's checking to make sure they're not reusing dirty needles. I'm not saying I agree with Japan. I'm saying the UN needs to stay out of other countries business.

How did we go from the government of Japan forcing people to become sterile, because that person thinks they are a women vs a man. To licensed tattoo shops?

I made no mention that we should intervene. And you're right that most likely no other country condemned the "assault weapon" ban. But wouldn't it have been nice if they did? I'm not saying they should have invaded and tried to take over, but don't you think if a few countries spoke up against the ban that we'd all think of them better?

Exactly how does the license stop shops from reusing needles? Are you supposed to wrap used needles up in the license when you throw them out?

I just heard recently on a news show (forgot which one, but most likely on FOX) that transgenders end up having terrible emotional issues because "They were born in the wrong body..."
    even after surgery.

So, here is my question: Is it easier to change your gender... or your mind?

Maybe they weren't born with the "wrong body", but the "wrong mind".
It seems much easier to adapt your mind to the body you were born with,
than to surgically and hormonally change your body to fit your perception of your gender.
    Am I wrong?

We are in the USA, who gives a shit about how Japan runs their game? if you go over there then you abide by their rules. Aside from it's none of our business how they regulate trannies.

That's much like saying the AWB is fine because "our country, our rules."

When we're talking about stuff like killing or mutilating people, that violates the natural rights clause in the universal, unwritten Constitution.

Now if someone wants to mutilate themselves and whack off their wiener, THAT's their own business and I don't need to agree, understand or even know about it.

This country did this for years to Native Americans. That was wrong, no doubt. But I think trannies are mentally ill and I'd hate to see children being brought up in that environment so I can understand Japan's position
