Anyone know of a good IWB holster for an S+W Mod 640? I just picked
up one of these little beasts and am in need of a halfway decent
holster. I'd like to keep the cost under $100 and I'd prefer leather
instead of kydex. I'd also like a holster that I don't have to wait 100
years to buy, either. (Summer is coming and thats what I got the 640
for!)

Strong holsters in Glocester makes great products and you can get them fast. I have one that's over 25 years old and still looks new.

Their clip on holsters are real cheap and will fit a lot of different models.

Thanks for all the responses, guys. I bet in the end I'm still
going to end up with more than one holster. The CTAC looks very concealable,
but how comfortable is it? One thing that is nice about
them is they seem to be readily buy-able. There is a guy at one of the
local shows that seems to sell most of what they make.

I don't even notice the J frame CTAC. I wore it for 12 hours daily at my last contract job (they never handed me a company policy booklet that said I could't!). The full sized ones, I prepare by putting moleskin on the back of the plastic peices, and theyare just as comfortable.

I use a C TAC for my M&P and it is all day comfortable. But you said you preferred leather over Kydex. The guy at the shows is Mike Briggs. Great guy, has a lot of knowledge on product and shooting. Talk to him and tell him Round Gun Shooter sent you. Won't do you a bit of good, but he will laugh.

Look at the Crossbreed Supertuck also. I've been wanting to get a S&W 642 and the Crossbreed will be the first holster I buy for it when the time comes.

I currently own a Crossbreed Supertuck for my CS9 and it is very comfortable.
