What are we made of? We shoot 100 rounds of ammo through our AR15 on a range trip so we must be superman to be able to take 100 meteors and walk away!

Amazing, America had Soviet underware back in black&white superman movies time? Who would believe… I always wondered why underwear here goes below the knee. Looked so odd, always.

The author starts with the disclaimer that he knows next to nothing about the topic he’s writing about. Then says he was amazed that gun ranges rent guns to shoot, confirming he has made no effort to research his article before or after his shooting experience.

Yet, it’s a step up from journalists that knowingly and intentionally lie about guns. He was just ignorant and negligent in his work, not malicious. But to what end does he write? Are there any liberals on the fence that his article would have informed and persuaded to support more gun control?

Writing anti-gun articles like this is just part of the gang-sign ritual that low-level journalists perform for their fellow liberal media gang members and employers. When NYT opera critics and WaPo food columnists write anti gun screeds, it’s just their turn to make obeisance to their editors.

Superman would stand there for all the bullets fired, But would
duck when the bad guy threw the gun when he ran out of Bullets.

Malodave

The name "short", as in .22 short is a misnomer. I once shot a .22 short cartridge bullet thing from a friends .22 high power rifle and the noise was deafening, the recoil left an invisible bruise on my shoulder, and I wept with fear. On yeah, and I had a little accident in my favorite Spiderman undies.

[rolleyes]

The left is so ignorant, and so hell bent on control, that you can't trust a word they say. They are much worse than socialists, they're Stalinists.

I read it as one of those, "Hey, fellow normie locals! Some gun nut™️ just opened up a store nearby, and I went and checked it out. It's actually pretty nice inside, and the owner doesn't seem like a douche! All in all, it's not what you'd expect. Just don't try to shoot any of the Assault Weapons™️; they kick like a mule. But seriously, he rents things if you're curious."

Not the worst article, not the best. I got the impression he was at least open to the possibility of enjoying a gun purchase... until the AR rocked his soul with its vicious, shocking recoil.

maybe if the meteor was the size of a BB. enbloc's post reminds me of when my wife called me at work one night, She was in a panic and said there'd been an earthquake. It turned out our Mastiff Ben had been running in his sleep and was banging the bed against the wall.
