It has a wish.com giggle switch on the back, that’s a machine gun.

“Ever since we started our Firearms Investigation Unit they have produced results. The amount of lives they have saved and shootings they have prevented due to their arrests and seizures is immeasurable. Unfortunately, two of the three suspects arrested this weekend were out on bail for serious offenses. These repeat violent offenders show little regard for the judicial system and it shows just how easily they can get their hands on firearms putting our residents and officers in danger. Hopefully this time they are held,” said Springfield Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood.
Also shows how little the judicial system cares for those paying their salaries.

How was he out on bail after those two previous charges? Wtf.

It’s Massachusetts. I was in court once when a defendant was appearing on a 3rd charge of selling cocaine. The prosecution only wanted probation. The judge said no, 3rd conviction for hard drug sales deserves at least 3 months in jail. Prosecution said if the judge didn’t accept, they’d drop the charges.

If not one is injured, the prosecution and judges in Massachusetts are very soft on crime.

If I have to choose between rail roading none violent crime or going soft ill take it soft

Ironically thats the only saving grace in this shithole against the stupid f***ing laws.... if you didn't hurt anyone, your odds of getting a deal are
usually very non-zero.

Contrast with NY or NJ gun laws where as long as you dont look like a good test case for RKBA, they will f*** you up sideways six ways on sunday for a technical violation

NJ is the worst. That single mother of 2 from Philly was almost railroaded, her place was robbed twice so she got her CCW and was pulled over right near Philly in but in NJ. She thought she was following the law and notified the cop she had a gun and gave her PA CCW. The DA there wanted to jail her for 3 years. Took a long time and a ton of pressure to get her a diversion program.

The justice system should go very light on first time offenders and also have expunge possibilities. The problem with MA and other place are the few who are career criminals and commit a lot of crimes but get the revolving door treatment.

This practice is the only thing that prevents large number of people from becoming federal PPs for life due to misdafelonies. Imagine the gun rights carnage if all the minor misdafelonies were prosecuted to conviction rather than settled as CWOFs. Those that beg for justice will beg for mercy if justice is done to them.

I'm just here to bitch and complain that it seems like EVERY New England news channel - and some in other parts of the country - take FOREVER to load. 90 seconds to get that article. 90!

What was his NES name, and they didn't say if he had a tax stamp for that gun?

That’s not contempt of court. The judge would be reprimanded.
I've always understood contempt to be defined as:

Contempt of court refers generally to any willful disobedience to, or disregard of, a court order or any misconduct in the presence of a court or action that interferes with a judge's ability to administer justice or that insults the dignity of the court, and is punishable by fine or imprisonment or both. A judge who feels someone is improperly challenging or ignoring the court's authority has the power to declare the defiant person (called the contemnor) in contempt of court.

Judge clearly asked for the law to be applied appropriately so he could do his job inside of the applicable framework, lawyer said "nah, I'll just drop it" which results in willful interference of the case and a direct challenge to the validity of the justice system.

Prosecutors prosecute, it’s their decision. The judge has the right to accept or reject the plea but the judge is not there to prosecute, it’s not their job. An excellent example is the Dc district court judge Emmett Sullivan who was upset the DOJ dropped charges in the Michael Flynn case and tried to take over the prosecution of the case. He is the definition of a horrendous judge.

If you break Maura's rule and assemble a new AR after 2016, what's the minimum sentence, one year?
