I am looking at buying an FN SCAR. I have one sourced in MA, but I am not sure if it is LEO or not. Has pistol grip detachable magazine and folding/collapsing stock, so I think it may be LEO.

If the stock was pinned so it didn't fold or collapse, would it be legal in MA?

Looking for a new toy and these caught my eye. Just don't want to run afoul of the police or politicians.

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers.

The stock on a FN SCAR both folds and collapses. Both of those features would have to be disabled. The other potential issue is the muzzle device. If it is a flash hider (I'm not sure) it would have to be swapped out for a compensator, and pinned in place so that it is not removable.

If you are willing to butcher it that way, I think you would be good to go in MA.
