My Buddy brought me back this other day (he took it off an insurgent). While we are good friends, there were lots of people in line ahead of me, so I was pretty happy to get something.

I registered and was browsing that forum this morning. Some of the questions people ask in a serious manner are scary.

Keep in mind that folks at CC are from all different parts of the US, where the laws are very different.

Also, lots of folks ask about scenarios that might be more common in other parts of the US, e.g. home invasions are very rare in New England vs. places in North Mexico or other areas in the SouthWest, etc.

There is a lot of good, practical stuff there, and some that we'd best do to ignore.

Such as: I'm so used to drawing my weapon from training that I can't take out my wallet without acting like I'm going for my weapon.

If someone seriously has a problem taking out a wallet without throwing their jacket open like they're going to draw, it makes me wonder.

That doesn't mean they aren't fit to carry. It doesn't mean their reasons for carrying are in question. I just raise an eyebrow when someone asks for help learning to draw their wallet instead of their weapon.

Could be for a Browning Hi-Power.

Thats my vote, too, apparently they had a buttload of em. I think Bush
even ended up getting a BHP that had belonged to Saddam. Of course that
went over quietly..... the troops arent allowed war trophies but POTUS
gets one? what kind of crap is that?
