Edit -- time changed to 11:30 AM

I realized I've only gone to Lunenburg once this year since joining in June, so I wanted to get over there to do some shooting on the 100 yd. range an the pistol range Sunday. Mr. Twigg will be joining me. If anyone wants to drop by, you're welcome! I'm thinking 11:30 AM Sunday the 3rd. I we get bored at the 100 yard line, we can always move over to No. Leominster, 5 minutes away.

Hey Mark. How long are you guys going to hang around? I'd like to stop by but I don't think I'll make it at 10.

Sunday is the THIRD.

TODAY (Friday) is "12/01."

Actually, TODAY (According to your post time.) is SATURDAY.

Good time shooting today! Once again, it was great to try all the toys. Mr. Twigg's .500 S&W, and EddieCoyle's 10mm 1911 were the biggies, and I got to shoot an M1 again today! The humbling experience -- watching EddieCoyle pick off shotgun hulls at 100 yards with his Model 10 from an isosceles stance.[shocked] I'm definitly going to utilize that little club more than I did this season, for $35/year, it's a bargain.

Have you ever noticed that every time he makes a moronic blunder such as this, he never responds, and just sort of quietly sweeps it under the rug and slinks off?

[rofl] [rofl] [rofl] [rofl]

[rolleyes] If only all the trolls would. [thinking]

Today's shoot went very well. MrsTwigg said to say she enjoied shooting that .38 snubbie of yours. Its rare for her to shoot more than one mag. or cylinder full from anything. There could be one in her future.

That old model 10 is one sweet revolver too. I've said this before, and I'll say it again; I need a 1911 ! ...after I get a press that is ! That .500 is gonna eat me out of house & home if I don't start reloading soon. I landed a good shot on one of the bowling pins and watched half of the wood inside go flying !

Wicked Pissah ! [smile]

Today was a blast. Tele_Mark, thanks for letting me try out your SKS. I'm getting an one - maybe as soon as tomorrow or Tuesday. I saw one at 4 Seasons the last time I went there. I'm going to have to look up all those "How to Remove Cosmoline" threads.

It was great to see MrTwigg again and meet MrsTwigg and TwiggJr (8 years old and the kid can hit what he aims at at 100 yards).

That reminds me, I need an SKS too. [smile]
I'm thinking shooter grade, that'll give me something to tinker with over the winter.

As opposed to collector grade? With an SKS, I think even the NIB unissued ones are shooter grade!

EDIT: I don't mean that in a bad way - they're just so plentiful.

Technically, it was a modified Weaver stance, and I was lucky.

How do I get an application to join Lunenburg?

Well, you got lucky a few times there, bud![wink]

I picked up the application at the door during the spring gun show. There's no website, but my newsletter says the next meeting is Tuesday, 12/12, with a supper from 6:30-7PM and a business meeting afterwards.

There is a .22 pistol match at Lunenburg Monday night. Folks are there by 7 and done by 10:30. I think the applications are in the club house and there will be people to ask about membership. I think you need to be "recommended" by a member.

I'll head over there. Is there an indoor range?

Yeah, only open during matches though I think. They also have archery matches in there. They have big target holders for the archery matches that roll out of the way for the pistol matches.

I'll keep an eye out for you.
