Strive to minimize the public safety concerns and negative economic impacts associated with the increase in human encounters with white sharks on Cape Cod.

CCOC was formed by a group of concerned Cape Cod residents, visitors, vacationers, investors, owners, entrepreneurs, employees, and others who want to do something before it is too late. Through CCOC, we hope to learn, share, and collaborate in effort to implement surveillance and detection technology that may eventually make recreating in the ocean on Cape Cod safer.
So basically they want to tell everyone that it's all cool so as not to scare off the business.

Through CCOC, we've found how hard it is. Sometimes it isn't, but sometimes it is. CCOC is working real hard to get into VirGeAN - The Virginia General Animal Network. It can be said that CCOC loves VirGeAN.

One of the items removed from the stores was a notepad featuring a drawing of a smiling great white shark. At the top of the pad it said “Send more tourists,” and at the bottom, “the last ones were delicious.”

Make that a coffee mug and I'd buy it as a souvenir.
