I'm making purchase decisions for reloading equipment. While I will be reloading mostly handgun ammo I don't want a progressive press.

The ch4d 444 4-station H press caught my eye: http://www.ch4d.com/
It would seem to have the virtues of a turret press without the potential down side of a moving turret. Also, it is very versatile for mounting.

This is not a widely known or distributed press. Has anyone had any experience with this press? If so, what do you think of it? Any things about it you find troublesome or inconvenient?

Thanks.

That is a rugged press, but rember, die sets come with one shell holder, so you will have to buy three more per caliber in order to set up.
There is nothing wrong with turret type presses for pistol loading.
They can flex a bit when sizing rifle calibers. I preffer an "O" type press for that.

CH press

Seems pretty tall price to pay compared to other choices. Wouldn't a lee classic turret press be more bang at less money? It's not a full progressive, but it can load all cartridges, and probably at a good clip when you get use to it. You can spend money you save on more components or dies etc.
