Image of letter allegedly sent to a Nassau County CCW applicant

It is and I knew I would be called out on it.
However, part of that retain counsel is amassing plaintiffs for legal advocacy groups and its easier to say get a lawyer than document your correspondence and submitt to a respected 2a advocate for inclusion in legal action.
That letter is so egregious that it should be shot down immediately but that still takes resources.
The issue it is easier, quicker and cheaper for the in-dug-vidual to amass the paperwork, take the range test, and pay for a lab piss test than to fund a challenge to the system, wait a year or more for it to work through the system, and possibly lose. The "Get an attorney" is effective if you can get some Comm2a/2AF org liked up to fund it, and are willing to go through the steps of the fight rather than going along to get along.

Comm2a takes come cases of abuse in MA to improve things, but the ones that are not court actions but result in favorable results are not always publicized. Sometimes it's better to treat the other party with a bit of respect if they are good about correcting the error, and let the word make its way around police circles, than hold a department doing something silly up to ridicule and assure you won't get professional sit-downs and reasonable negotiations with other departments in the future.
