I'm Shocked!

Does Cali-fornicate-ya have a state-wide Assault Weapons ban? If so, then wouldn't the use of the phrase "assault weapon" in this story serve to highlight its ineffectiveness at preventing these "killing machines" from falling into the wrong hands.

Of course, it could have been a Ruger Mini-14 with a non-scary wood stock, and a Clinton-capacity magazine.

Yes, they have a ban, and they ALL have to be registered, even the pre-ban ones. No new ones in, existing ones registered, no wonder they wouldn't use the AW words. That would be proof that bans don't work.
