How do I tell my wife?

The only thing I can think of is what I've done with some of the other things I've bought. Wait a real long time before she sees it. And then, "What? This old thing?"

BTW, It's center fire and tube fed. I don't think I should have a problem lighting one off accidentally in the tube so long as I don't use pointy bullets. That would make for an interesting story now...

I bought one of those 2 years ago. I love it!. Got my first deer with it too so I broke it in right!

I did put a set of "Tru-Glo" sights on it, #112 for better target acquirement.

See, you should always take a couple of gun cases with you when you leave the house. Tell your wife you're thinking about selling a couple of safe queens -- except they're empty when you leave, and full when you come home.

I tell my wife I won it in an NES karma......you can't believe how much karma stuff I've 'won' lately.

I picked it up yesterday. The brass is pristine. It came covered with a suede like polishing cloth. It's a heavy, solid rifle. If you can get one for $485 jump on it. It retails for 899 and I thought I was getting a bargain for $729.

I told them I was all done buying guns, and they started laughing. They said the last guy who cut himself off still had two items left on layaway.

Congrats on your new purchase. I like the idea of just hiding it the safe for a month or two. With the amount of guns between my father and I my wife has little clue to whats in there.
