this really pisses me off

They ought to jack the fine to $1000 IMO

I have a friend that has a handicapped war veteran brother ( read hero )
He saw a non handicapped person parked in the clearly marked, with signage & paint HP spot
He pulled his pick up truck behind it, blocking the vehicle in & called the police
The violator reacted badly, was ticketed for the violation and arrested for acting in a threatening manner
( I forgot the original official charge)

It was awesome !

many times i forget to hang my hp placard when i run into the market. it's visible if someone actually looked in the vehicle but i'm stupid and forgetful and the law says it has to be displayed. i'm not one of these folks who drive around with it hanging from the mirror, i don't really want to telegraph to the world i'm a gimp. but my fear is some overzealous yahoo will key or do some other kind of damage to my vehicle on the occasions i forget. lotta crazies out there.

Trust me
This shit stain was not handicapped in anyway but being an ignorant, disrespectful POS
If he had got physically combative, my friend would made sure he would have qualified for a HP permit when he was done
But of course the violator was a coward
We knew that when we saw him parked in the spot

It is sad but what is equally sad is the many grown able bodied men who take advantage of Mommy's Handi-cap plaque and park in the handicap zones.
Those plaques should be permanently attached to needed vehicles only

I dont understand why people are so lazy and such pieces of sh*t.

Laziness first - the vast majority of people in this country, probably 90%+, could use some more exercise. Parking in a regular spot means walking an extra 10-50 steps. Probably a full 15 seconds.
How big of a lazy fat POS do you have to be to take over a parking space?

Piece of sh*t - if you are potentially screwing someone over because you are lazy and cant walk a few additional seconds, you are just a POS.

My MIL has one ( she’s 85, w limitations )
It gets moved around from vehicle to vehicle, depending on who’s Driving Miss Daisy on any particular day

Let’s not limit those that use it for the intended purpose
Rather make the fine sooooo painful as to make people think as to what it could potentially co$t them

If you got a $1000 fine
You would NEVER ri$k it again
You would be telling everyone of the injustice to you ( and that would make them aware, if not already)
& of course your a douche nozzle and think it’s unfair to you

Aretha Franklin said it all

Respect... handicapped people’s special parking privileges? $1k for violations, where the real injury is someone with a disability having to travel a little farther? Meh.

Screw those who would do it, but if this is the state of our justice related outrages then life must not be too bad.

Never paid much attention to who parked in the HP spots until I got both hips replaced. I was issued a temp HP placard. It was then I noticed just how many non placarded a**h***s violate that law. I did however turn mine into the RMV after I could walk. Healthy people who take those spots really do make it suck for people who really need them.

Aside from the cruel and unusual punishment thing in the bill of rights, it is a good idea. $1000 for parking in a spot for as little as 5 minutes in a private parking lot seems a little excessive to me. No need to get the government involved in something that could be handled with a little street justice. Just do not get caught because you would be responsible for your actions.

oh yeah, i've seen with my own eyes a guy i worked with use his wife's hp placard to run in and get coffee and she was no where in sight.

Piece of sh*t - if you are potentially screwing someone over because you are lazy and cant walk a few additional seconds, you are just a POS.
you see it a lot at 7am at the supermarket in town here, dunks is inside the door and the able bodied will race to the hp spots cause they're right outside the door. the rest of the parking lot is empty. but hey, no big deal right mr. olympus racing, no gimpy folks food shop at 7am...except me.

I don’t understand why anyone would do it given the price of the ticket. Just frigging walk you lazy shit.
Selfishness. It exists everywhere now and it is why society is failing. No one cares to see the big picture anymore. .Gov has made the population move from interdependent on each other to independent of each other. See what happens when you have a sale of a tv on black friday. People will literally trample each other to save some money. Can you imagine what will happen when the shtf? It has been joked around on here before, if ebt has some sort of failure then hell will break loose.

Cruel & excessive for some child that is in a wheelchair & they can’t get in or out of a HP van because some asshat parked in the striped line portion

If was your your child with those hardships, would you be as nonchalant about it ?
We all carry, I’m not inclined to get into a situation where my rights will be revoked because I acted as dumb as the offender
Not necessarily something I would want to get roiled up about and probably make the child uneasy

But that’s just me

I would make it a point to start a Facebook page and just post their plate pictures, with a picture clearly showing there is no indication of them being handicapped.

Or, I would drive a huge POS car and block them in, like the OP did.

Those people deserved to be punched twice, one for wasting time getting that horrible coffee, and the second for parking in a HP space to go get sh*tty coffee.
