I know a bunch of us have the Igaging Dro set ups and we tried to swap to a battery eliminator on them. (I gave up and have been using batteries) I found this link that has a bunch of ideas to solve the issue. http://www.yuriystoys.com/2013/07/three-ways-to-make-igaging-dro-scales.html I have a set of mini-b to mini-b shielded cables on order. (from ebay my normal sources do not list them...) and I will then convert to power and install these cables. (the long and short is interference) That and ground loops are an issue. I may isolate all my scales as part of this.

One other issue I recently had with my setup- I was off .018 on the X axis Turned out the mount was loose on the scale. sp once I locktitied the screws it solved the issue.
Just FYI for my fellow Igaging users.

Great find. I gave up on mine after it cost me an 80% lower. I didn't realize they had drifted until it was too late. I would love to be able to trust them again. I will try this guy's update and see what happens.

I am about to change mine to a real set of DROs. I have the large box and three glass scales shipped from China for $300.
The Scales are accurate to 5 microns. I may still use the iGauging ones on my Lathe.

Yea when they jump it is hard to catch. It did it on me when I was working on my 0% and I caught it before I screwed up. I went back to batts to keep it from doing it again.

he also has a dro display project- http://www.yuriystoys.com/p/android-dro.html that I am going to do. it reads out on a android tablet. my big beef with the dro is the size of the display and no backlight. so this should solve it.
