From the DPS Dealer Info web page. If you purchased something prior to the ban, you can LAWFULLY take deliver of it after the ban.

That means if you bought something on GB, or have something on backorder with a gun shop or wholesaler, you CAN lawfully take retail delivery of the item now.

This is important because I have heard of several instances of out of state people refusing to ship items purchased prior to 4/4 into CT.

Newly defined Assault Weapons:

Any newly defined assault weapon that was lawfully purchased on or before April 4, 2013, but was not transferred by that date, may be transferred pursuant to such lawful purchase and a sales authorization number may be obtained for such transfer. Sellers are required to verify that a lawful purchase occurred on or before April 4, 2013 prior to transferring such firearm.

Proof of lawful possession will also be required by DESPP from the owner of the firearm with the Application for Certificate of Possession of Assault Weapon. Forms are currently being developed for this purpose.

Hell, you can take possession of an AR after the ban.

Stay within the confines of "Long Gun", and there's no reason for commerce to come to come to a grinding halt.

Sure. But go set up a vendor account and be legit. Its something like $100/yr. It will give you access to a very good sized market of people. Not a calguns sized market, but certainly worth the minimal investment.
