You hear that BS line EVERY TIME a new gun law is proposed.

Stating that "Hey even if this law isn't a HUGE sucess, isn't one human life worth it???"

And she was talking about a program that allows supervised visits outside of prison of Prisoners and dying relatives, or veiwing of Dead relatives at a supervised wake.

I haven't really committed much thought to the issue, but one thing that came to my mind was this: While all the corrections officers were calling up with horror stories about escapes and escape attempts.

Why is it the "Just one life" BS line does apply to the Liberal agenda?

It's ok to take my gun away from me because it "May" save a life....but if a few innocent people are harmed or killed because Hannibal Lector's mom is dying of cancer...that's OK?

I tell you, this BS is all emotional appeal with little to no substance!

Hey Weer'd, I called in that show and got on the air with her.

My comments to that crazy liberal nut were:
1) This is typical of Mass and has been going on since the Dukakis furlough era
2) O'Reilly has been covering this moral equivalency lately. New "liberal" idealogy is to equate the criminal and the victim.

They hung up on me, so I didn't get to counter.

You can toss it back at them another way... Use it on the death penalty. Say we should kill everyone with a "life" sentence, to deter criminals.

I mean, even if it deterred ONE criminal wouldn't it be worth it?

Or better yet, I don't have any raw facts, but I'm sure there have been a few criminals with a Life Sentence who got out on "Good Behavior"....and well, you know what happened.
