Honestly, I thought it was one of the coolest guns ever when I first laid eyes on it. I like shotguns alot and finally I find a seriously functional semi-auto with the added bonus of that scare the pants out of everyone AK look to it.

Threejean - the SVD, with scope, can currently be purchased from <Name removed by LenS-Mod> for $595 + shipping.
Edited to add that the SVD is not C&R eligible, and would have to be sent to an FFL for transfer. <Name removed by LenS-Mod> will not ship something like this directly to you.

Nope, these are diferent. Notice the space between the magazine and the trigger guard. A sure sign of a Dragunov design versus a kit built Romak3 like you see sold these days. The Romak3 has an action like the AK style rifles.
BTW, always a good idea to keep names of rifle suppliers and retailers out of posts, unless they're located in Mass, or the New England area. One of the moderators will shed some light on this subject and probably correct your post.

My Romak3 has the TN Guns import stamp on the receiver and was kit built. I figured so after first seeing the diferences in the wood. I found tons of info here: http://www.dragunov.net/romanian_psl.html
Still though... I wish someone would import Saiga Tigr rifles. Even if they were in hunting rifle form, we could probably change the stocks.
