When is he going to tackle corrupt politicians? They ruin just as many people's lives either directly or indirectly.

There is no money in the cure of any disease, the money is in the "research" and only developing pharmaceuticals that help with the symptoms of them! He would never be allowed to fulfill that promise.

I have to disagree with you about only developing pharmaceuticals that help with the symptoms only. As a Cancer survivor Chemo Therapy along with surgery does cure Cancer. Yes there is more research needed however there some drugs out there that have been developed that do cure.

Joe Biden is what people in the medical profession refer to as a shithead.

Why wouldn't he do it, whether elected President or not?

My Mom died of cancer that was defined as "highly treatable."

Medical expenses in her last two years were outrageous to "treat" her.

We didn't pick up that they never once said "cure." Just "treat."

I'm glad you're cured, but other people need to read between the lines.

You see, he personally can't cure cancer. But, as president, he can use his authority to order people to come up with the cure. All previous presidents have just been selfish a-holes by not bothering to do this simple solution.

Fine by me, just as long as he does it after RBG succumbs to it.

Yeah, I know, a little too over the top for some, but I'm in a particularly foul mood tonight. [wave]

If Trump came up with a cure for cancer, the NYT and CNN headlines would be:

"Trump Puts Thousands Of Doctors And Medical Researchers Out Of Work"

They would criticize him for not curing aids instead, due to the homophobia.

But his proposed one payer healthcare will deny the treatment to everyone over 40.

Both my parents and two of my best friends died of cancer, and so many fight it at some time in their lives. I don't wish cancer on anyone.
But I can't help but wonder, what is going to happen to world population if we were to cure everything?

I read a very interesting, yet somehow scary, article recently, that suggests the biggest breakthroughs in the coming decades will involve nano technology. The basic principle is that microscopic robots will be injected into the body, where they will seek out and destroy everything from cancer cells to artery clogging plaque. When they have completed their mission they will simply enter the digestive system, where they will ultimately be flushed with other bodily waste. The article suggested that scientists are closer to this goal than many people would think, and that the first person that will enjoy a 200 year old life span, has already been born.
