Saturday 10/1 will be our last IDPA match for the 2011 season. This will be a Back-Up-Gun (BUG) match.
8 stages on 4 pits, figure between 40-60 rounds.
Handguns permitted for use in this division must:
A. Be single or double action.
B. Be either pistol or revolver.
C. Be .32 auto or larger.
D. Have a barrel length:
1. Semi-automatic, 3.8" or less (factory installed cone style barrels with or without a barrel bushing are permitted).
2. Revolver 3" or less.
E. Maximum (total) number of rounds that may be loaded into the handgun is five (5).
Please, no in-the-pocket, shoulder, cross-draw, ankle type holsters - traditional belt style holsters only (see the rule book, Appendix A, Section C for allowed holster types for IDPA competition). While all of those might be legit carry options, this is a competition. If you do not have a traditional belt style holster, you will be allowed to start from the low ready position but will be assessed a procedural penalty for each string start that requires the start from the holster.
Full rules can be found at IDPA's website at: http://www.idpa.com/Documents/IDPARuleBook2005.pdf
Registration starts at 9am, shooters meeting at 9:25am and first caps at 9:30am.
Directions to the club and range: http://rodgun-nb.org/directions.htm
We're always interested in new folks getting involved, both new shooters to the sport as well as people wanting to get involved in helping with the match. New shooters are always welcome.
