Hi guys.

I'm here in Northern CT and, as you know, we don't have a mag issue here. But, I was looking through my handful of AR-15 mags and don't see how I can tell what's a "pre-ban" and what's not. Can anyone here tell me how I can determine from the bottom plate or do you have to have some type of paper-trail that proves it? Just curious.

Generally anything by Colt Industries (which they were known by the time the AR was born) is preban. In 1994 they became Colt's Mfg (which is a DBA for Zilkha & Co which is an IP troll) after the bankruptcy and they have a sister company Colt Defense (also a DBA for Zilkha).
