I want a new AK

Ok i really want to get a new AK, I do not have one and think it is going to be my next purchase. Seeing as it is my first one should i just start out with a cheaper WASR or if i spend more can i get a lot better gun? Or should i go all out and get some kind a AR instead? If I get a cheaper one it will let me invest in other toys. Help me out guys I am very confused!!!

I personally would hunt for a more "interesting" ak than a WASR. If you
strike out you can find the WASRs everywhere. They are priced well and
have an optics rail from the factory, which is cool, but the fit and finish on
them is pretty rough.

I am partial to the MAK90 (see my refit in the photo section:

You can also occasionally find a MAADI or NHM91 or Saiga (cool but more work)
for $350 - $450. Add in $100 for US parts and you have a sweet AK.

I have become a big AK47 fan. Fun to work on, super fun to shoot, and still
cheap to feed.
