I just dropped $850 on my ammo supply. After seeing the annointed ones speech last night I decided we were all doomed. Its time to stock up now folks because the messiah has plans for us all.

I did not see the speach of the messiah. Something about all the clapping drives me crazy with the speaches to congress. I think if they guy coughed they would all stand up and clap. I just don't get it. You make a two minute speach last forever with all the strange clapping. Maybe it's me. Either way I will be buying something at lunch today. Ammo?
Obama supporters are just like zombies, except they care absolutely nothing about brains..... Be afraid...
there are issues that are more important to me than guns
I don't like generalizations like this (no offense, I just see it a lot). I'm an Obama supporter and I love shooting guns. Why are the two mutually exclusive? I'm an Obama supporter because there are issues that are more important to me than guns, and that may be how I differ from many people on this page.
That being said, as an Obama supporter and a fairly liberal person, I can, and have talked to other liberal people and changed their views on guns. I've taken a.

As one example: I'm not gay, but until everyone can marry the person who they love, guns will not not my number one issue. And why should that mean we disagree on everything? Just because we disagree on gay rights, we don't have to disagree on guns or taxes.
The fact that I wouldn't be welcome here because I support Obama exemplifies one of the reasons that we don't make much headway with those who would seek to outlaw guns. You attack me even though we agree on how guns should be treated. How is this helpful for the cause? Instead of attacking me, perhaps you should try to explain to me why guns are your number one cause and why they should be mine as well. Until you try to do that, you'll never convince anyone.
I would have supported a good libertarian candidate over Obama if there had been one who I thought could win, but alas, there wasn't.

I've taken a person who used to think that guns should be banned to the range, and now she wants to come with me whenever I go. All because I know how to talk to them.
I felt the change coming and majorly stocked up way before the rush. Seems I made a smart move as, obviously, prices have skyrocketed in recent months and everyone is broke.
All I can say is, buy as much as you can while you can. I'm not going to wait and see what happens. Most of us feel in our gut what what will happen. At this amazing rate of change, we might wake up tomorrow in an all new gun-free, happy joy joy land known as Hopeandchange. Ahhhhhh can you feel the Socialism?

I understand why I'm getting strange looks, as you say. But do you all really agree with everything your chosen politician thinks? I'm assuming the answer is that you do not. But you chose to support them anyway, because whatever you disagree with isn't your top issue. So if this is the case, is it such a stretch to understand where I'm coming from?
Now, if Obama starts to make a move to take away guns from citizens, then I will fight against him. But I don't think that he will be able to.
A bunch of people hue and cry "oh thatll never happen here!" but they are clearly ignorant of history. Unarmed populaces in the face of tyrannical
governments eventually = genocide.
