I saw someone carrying in a parking lot in NH..

The appropriate response is "No need to worry, I'll give you and armed escort while you carry that shotgun for me".
That's what I was thinking. You carry MY unloaded boxed shotgun to the exit while I carry my loaded concealed handgun on my hip.

I mean C-mon it's for safety LOL

My buddy purchased a shotgun there. The store employee said he is required to walk the gun to the door (exit to the outside not into the mall) and could not hand it to him until they were outside the store

There's a post somewhere on NES where a guy bought a gun at a big box store where they had to physically see you put the gun in your car.

The short of it is that the buyer parked his car at the furthest end of the lot nearly 1/8th of a mile away. [rofl]

Don't want to accidentally trip into a shelf with shotgun shells on it and have them unbox themselves, one fall into the chamber and go off killing everyone in the store at once. Please think about the children!

People seem to have irrational fears. I see people all the time who are younger, stronger, better built, etc. who could probably kill me with their bare hands without working up a sweat. If I was to fear anyone I saw with a gun, rationality would dictate a similar level of fear of anyone who could obviously take me barehanded.

The other great thing about NH is that accidentally flashing your gun isn't something you really have to worry about. Bend over too quickly and most people who notice will just go on with their day.

Idk, it seems if you accidentally flash your piece, someone may run home and post a thread about it on the internet.

The irrationality that I laugh at the most about is you know there are people running around who are afraid of guns who have no trouble getting in a car and driving around, and they're not cognizant of the fact that driving in traffic at any amount of speed is like being on a live firing range with 3000-6000 lb large "bullets" flying around everywhere in terms of the level of potential chaos and danger going on around them at any one given moment, but yet they're somehow, not magically shitting themselves with fear every time they get in a car. Hell, most (maybe not all) people who get into serious accidents end up back on the roads again after recovery. Few can put things like that into context... eg, that a holstered firearm is, on average, far less dangerous than an average car driving around in traffic.

Park on the south side of the mall near Sears. Have the police waiting for the employee
to walk into Mass with a firearm and no LTC. See how Dick's likes that!

Was coming back from Sig in Epping and stopped into Tuckaway Tavern for lunch. Saw two separate parties that were all open carrying. Two at the bar and two at high tops. Also thought to myself I gotta move to NH. And that the burger I was eating was probably the best I ever had.

We go there frequently. That place is the best. We called them to check on the wait a few Sat. ago and the girl told us 1 1/2 hrs. I wanted it for my birthday but couldn't do a wait that long. It's worth 45 min. to me though.

I'll have to stop by the next time I'm in the area.

I spend alot of time in NH. Have yet to see OC. CC mostly and some dude with a huge honkin' sheath hanging off his belt! My nonresident LTC was straight forward to obtain. Just wish I had access to purchase some of those sweet non MA compliant pistols I drool over in the shops!!

Been in NH since last August and no OC sightings. The only time I have seen someone OC was in northern Georgia in a Wal Mart.

I carry concealed and open in Ohio. People in Ohio don't realize that we have open carry and get a little rev'd, although I've never had anyone call the police. Typically I carry concealed, although there are some occasions where a jacket looks out of place and carrying a handgun completely concealed isn't necessary so I might have my 1911 or Five-seven in an open carry holster.
