I always get the extended warranty when buying power equipment from HF. Seems like cheap insurance, but I've had good luck with the few things I've bought.

Although I do love Harbor Freight as a bargain hunter, I would not depend on any of their items with moving parts if I had a choice. Just my .02.

It all depends on your needs, but that's a good value. A Honda inverter that size will be whisper quiet and use half the fuel, but it will cost at least 5 times as much.
