This followed me home today, Poor thing looked so sad sitting there. I decided it should have a home.

Nice. Great shooting pistol just hate the high mag cost. Great trigger and ergos. I don't mind the mag release some really hate it. Pretty much "the H&K in my collection" Congrats and enjoy!

Four Seasons has the mags for $50 right now if you're desperate.

It looks almost as big as the .45, probably just the photo. I'd really like to see H&K make an updated USP Compact 9 mm. They just released the P30sk, which doesn't really interest me, too small.

I have a P30 and the VP9 is next on the list.. Love the HK 9mm's and the interchangeability of the magazines between the two models.

love the VP9 although much prefer with the thinner backstrap to make a more straight grip (like 1911). the stock backstraps on many guns these days put waay too much of a hump which I find feels nice in the hand but i shoot better with a flat grip.

10 in mass...16 elsewhere I believe
15 except for MA, NY, MD, and maybe a couple others.
My wife loves her VP9. Easy slide. She can't rack my FNS9 but can handle the VP9 very easily.
Shoots great to. Even my niece, who weighs maybe 110# soaking wet was able to keep it flat with virtually no muzzle rise. This makes it a lot easier to get that second shot on the BG target. :)

Are you saying the vp9 is a girls gun? [emoji41]

Could you compare the 45 vs VP9 for me? I can't for the life of me find a 45 to hold but I've got the VP9.

I've also held the P30SK if that helps any. (I like its trigger much better then the VP9)

Thanks!

The .45 feels nearly the same as the vp9 in the hand. It is a bit heavier and obviously has a different trigger. They have the same sights and grip. The .45 grip only has a interchangeable back strap. My .45 is my favorite pistol of all the ones I own and I would not hesitate to spend another $1000 on a second one.

I haven't held a VP9 but the HK45 feels noticeably bigger than a P30. Both feel incredible in the hand. I liked the controls on the HK45 better than P30 series, but that's not really relevant to the VP9.

I'm sure you can rent both at some of the public ranges - I know Bob's Tactical had an HK45 and P30L.

I see that Bob's has a 45 but I am not licensed in MA nor do I live anywhere remotely close by. Thank you though!

All the H&K firearms are sexy. I like the LEM stuff personally but others despise it. truly ambidextrous, handles +P ammo without issue, eats steel, aluminum (not that I use it but we do T&E all ammo types) brass like nothing. That VP9 is a beast and will give Glock and Walther a run for thier money.

I'm not a HK fan boy and I hate Da/SA guns, but I Realy like the ergos of the P30SK. With a sell price of $650 and likely to be mass compliant I think the will sell well. ( size wise they are similar to m&p compact)

I'm sure this gun is a great shooter, it's an HK, but i just cant look past how much slide is above the grip and how much polymer is in between the top of the grip and below the slide, thats a lot of gum above ur hand, seems like all HK's are like this.
