I know any one person can only do four fa-10s or electronic fa10 transfers per year. My question is: Is that in any twelve month period or is it per calendar year for instance only four for 2011 and four for 2012 thank you in advance. I apologize if this question has been asked before

I read the law but it was a bit confusing. I have sold two guns and bought one gun this year , so I was figuring I may have one purchase left on fa-10 but if I understand it properly. Only the ones I sold count towards the four and the puchases are exempt? Can you purchase unlimited guns Ftf and are only limited on guns you sell? Thanks sorry if I made it confusing

Only FTF dispositions count towards the 4/year.

Dispositions to a 01FFL are unlimited.

Acquisitions are unlimited.

Assuming your 2 dispositions this year were FTF, you have 2 remaining.
