Looking for info on Hanson and Old Colony in Pembroke. Anyone in the know able to answer a few questions that I have?

1) Indoor ranges-do you have to have lead rounds at Hanson? I know Pembroke requires lead only indoors.
2) Is a range officer needed on the outdoor ranges?
3) How long are the outdoor ranges?
4) How close can you set a target?
5) are holster drills permitted?
6) do either clubs have steel plates set up?

I'm interested in these two places but welcome any other suggestions.

I've been to Old Colony and LOVE their shot gun facilities. I've shot trap at Hanson and believe I've interacted with some of the nicest people I've ever met on a trap range.

Thanks,
Tony

for Hanson

1. No
2. No but there's usually one there on the weekends
3. 100 yards for rifle.
4. Indoor range has to be all the way to the backstop. Can't remember exactly but I think its 50'.
5. Don't think so.
6. No and I don't think you're technically supposed to shoot steel but I do and nobody has ever given me a hard time.

did you check out Holbrook? Shot there today couldn't have been more than 5 people while we were there.
1 one indoor range is 22lr only the other is pistol cartridges only.
2 No
3 100 yards, with four bays that are 200 yards
4 Indoor range has a minimum I don't know what it is though, outdoor plinking range 25 yards big bore range 25 and up
5 Yes, but drawing from the holster at club sanctioned activities only I think, you might want to check this one.
6 they had steel plates but I don't know what happened to them.

Pembroke:
1 confirmed
2 negative
3 200 rifle 75 pistol
4 25 rifle 3 pistol (I believe)
5 unknown... Signage is pretty good and I've not seem a sign prohibiting
6 negative... And gongs were recently removed.

Pembroke also has IDPA, great trap and skeet, an excellent youth program, CMP matches, and a kitchen.
10 round mag limit, mandatory open chamber indicator, but otherwise fairly casual.

thank you guys for your comments....i'll be looking into all 3...it's frustating when you want to use the facilities only to find out there is no range officer is on or they are late...i understand most ROs are volunteers but i dont get much time to sneak away to shoot and dont want to be on someone else's schudule....another odd thing about my club is that they'll have "IDPA TYPE" shoots but you are unable to use a holster....strange.
