There isn't any "paramilitary" anywhere in the area, it's just some ridiculous "reporter's wet dream fantasy"....I've been in daily contact with people in the affected areas in both TN and western NC for over a week. Carrying a gun is part of people's lives there....and carrying a rifle is very smart under present conditions.

My 2 cents. This is the government attempting to flex on ordinary people. That's why I'll bang it into the heads of conservatives until they finally get it that the government is only friends with the government. They hate the public. Red or blue doesn't matter. "Backing the blue" doesn't matter. If Tim Walz was galivanting through the brush with his Benelli in the mountains of NC, the same federal agents would beat the sh*t out of him, tase him and take his rifle. The ask questions laters when he's handcuffed and bleeding out. They hate the public. The job to them is only the means to a pension in their old age. The only way to allow people to live in the way that best suits them is eliminating as much government as possible. 80-90% head count across the board. That's the only time they will figure out that they are the actual bad guys.

I ran some errands yesterday after work, including going to the local grocery store. Saw three people there openly carrying; no idea how many were concealed carrying besides me.
