Im thinking of hunting deer shotgun in w. bridgewater at the hock. swamp wma Anyone know if shotguns are legal there.? anyone have any luck there? Also pheasant in easton at the Erwin Wilder wma shotguns i presume are legal there. How do you get there off of bay rd??? Help i need meat that i earned in the freezer.

I hunt wilder a lot, and the Pheasants there are few and far between. oh,
they claim to stock it, but I have yet to meet anyone who has had much
success there. If you want to meet up some time to hit it during pheasant
season it looks like we can get together enough guys to beat the corn rows.
Wilder is a pretty place, though. There is a lot of deer sign due to the standing
corn that they leave up, but the hunting pressure is HUGE.

I've hunted the Hock and Wilder many times. I stay away on Saturday mornings to avoid the crowds, but it usually quiets down by noon. Most of my success on pheasants comes from working the thickets where the birds go to hide from the trail hunters who don't venture into the heavy stuff, or by going out into the swamp by the river.

Lots of deer there. Shotguns, archery, blackpowder allowed.

nice sounds like a spot to hunt deer too. ill hafta get out and go scouting. thanks. how about directions or where to park.???

i found out today its actually in norton didnt have time to go in but checked it out. how do you think the guys at the chateau will feel if i show up in camp for lunch lol

went there yesterday seemed kinda small. lots of sign but. didnt want to venture out into the woods without my boots. came from work. the fields there looked nice but seems kinda risky to take a shot off the back there with pheasant guys in the fields. dunno im thinkin ill stick to stoughton. any suggestions on where to look around stoughton/ easton??
