- Chelmsford MA
As far as changing my overall concept of what I was already aware of / planning for / stocking up to deal with? Nah. If you hadn't been pondering civil unrest as a SHTF scenario, you were behind the curve. I'm actually glad about that aspect of the current sitch. It's reinforcing my ideas about cities and distance.
The Pacific Northwest is its own little brand of crazy. What they're doing won't "spread" per se because the circumstances up there are pretty unique. If you're asking whether I'm worried about my little corner of New England turning into a CHAZ, I'm not in the slightest.
Before the crazy can spread from the cities - first it has to be present in the cities.
I've said this before numerous times: MA may be a bit of a leftist cesspool, but for some reason there just isn't anywhere near the level of crazy here that there is out in the Pacific Northwest and even in some cities in the south and midwest. Which I find ironic because so many right wingers I see - talk about "escaping" to someplace in the middle of the country - or down south.
When Lowell starts seeing Antifah riots - I'll start worrying about it coming here. I doubt that will happen - not too many Vietnamese or Cambodians in Antifah I bet.
