I was thinking of one of these. Interchangeable barrels can be had. Of course, I don't know just how much I'd shoot the damned thing. I figure it'd make a decent deer gun, lighter than a rifle.

Of course, I forgot to add that I'm looking into building a 338 Lapua Mag. I think they're better than a 50 BMG, though not quite as long distance, but far cheaper to shoot.
