HOW TO DO A FTF TRANSFER

Read the instructions between the boxes on the "Personal Sale or Transfer" page very carefully. [I tried to link the exact page but that didn't work, so click on "Personal Sale or Transfer" and carefully pay attention to the directions between the first 2 sets of fill-in boxes.]

You either fill out the top 2 boxes or the next 2 but NOT BOTH! Failure to follow those directions won't allow you to proceed. BTDT and had to call Michaela Dunne on her cell phone on a weekend (she was at a gun show) to be told that I wasn't following instructions (she did it politely but I was embarrassed)!

Pick a public place (gun club with WiFi preferred) to do the transaction. If a "real public" place, write down gun info in the car before going into a DD or other public place and do the paperwork without the gun physically present.

Don't take checks unless the person is a personal friend. Cash is king!

It gives you the option to save as PDF BEFORE exiting, it's your only chance to save a copy . . . then Email it to the other party and print it out at home for yourself.

I suggest creating a Bill of Sale for both of you as well, attach same to copies of the FA-10s.

Here are the "Goose Rules" and they are a good idea to follow them if you are the seller and to abide by them if you are the buyer.
