The best, and funniest answer to this question was answered by Adam_MA, a long absent Moderator a number of years ago. Needless to say this topic has come up numerous times since this forum started.

I don't sleep at night. I stay up in my pillow fort with my AR while the family sleeps in case some bad guys get thru my claymore field out in the yard.

Alright! Alright! jeez i didnt think people would take things so literally. i edited the original post... grow up! LOL

Seriously? We spend much of our time creating childish answers to serious questions. Sometimes it's the only way to stay semi-sane in this state.

How do I keep mine, which one? all within arms reach, We don't have to get permission here in New Hampshire.

How many arms you got?

Due to certain sleep behaviors I would never trust nighttime bill o with a gun under the pillow. Not even with the striker down on two snap caps and a Siderlock.

That's one precocious kid!

Store your firearm when you sleep? Is that some sort of Massachusetts thing?

Who sleeps? I wait… And watch...

I don't sleep. I stay awake in case the zombies attack in the night. I'm pretty sure they won't get us because they would actually have to find Plympton first. So, we at least have that going for us.

I found it once, and I'm not from here...

Oh, and STILL not locked!

You guys from the free states better not be so smug. Remember that Mayor Bloomberg has sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance (and grab their guns). No place is safe any more.

IIRC they were either arrested, or they were escorted to the border and kicked in the backside back across to MA, either way they were told to get the bleep out and not to come back

I go with Italian carry. I hired an Italian guy to hold it for me while I sleep. Something goes down he wakes me up and points me in the right direction. I've also taken out a $2mil life insurance policy on him as I'm his employer. He'll make a truly profitable meat shield, once his career as a nightstand is over.

He of course has a LTC? That constitutes constructive possession, I think. (Just in case Martha is listening.) [wink]

Possibly the most creative solution to date.
