How do you shoot?

Do you shoot defensively with both eyes open?

Speaking of iron-fisted, I think I have Ross just about convinced to make his next derringer a little old 45-70.

You do? Where was I when you did this? Was I in the conversation? [lol]

Ross

Please, Ross, reread what I wrote the key words are "just about".

I did read them... "just about" would imply that you've talked to me about this before!

I have, old man, I have.

Check out the thread where we were discussing your COP.

One of us has a memory slip problem, I do believe.

You are a funny guy, Mr. R., a very funny guy. I like your sense of humor!

Started working on keeping both eyes open after reading this thread and the Jim Conway thread. It was hard at first, but after the first dozen shots it was only a little bit harder than having one eye closed. It just requires a little more concentration...

I wouldn't have thought to make such a change without reading this thread.

It isn't easy at first Jeremiah. You want to close your non-dominant eye, but it does get easier the more you focus on doing it. :D

granted that when i shoot,i have both eyes open.

but it doesn't matter seeing that i only see from my right side.

remember that saying "no you can't have a BB gun, you'll shoot your eye out" ---well don't ever trust your brother with one either [wink]

Ouch!!! I guess I was lucky; my brother was only able to put a couple of rounds into my leg (through a pair a Levis and about 1/2-3/4" into the muscle).

nope, sight totally lost.i've learned to compensate.they told my mother that not to expect me to be able to drive, but i do (13 yrs now)

and surprisingly i have decent deepth perception.

i don't look at it as a handycap but as an advantage. aim is pretty good.
